The Martha’s Ministry Food Pantry is open three mornings/week 9:30-12:00, Monday, Tuesday Wednesday in the parish kitchen and provides food staples to those experiencing food insufficiency. Donations are collected during the Sunday offertory and throughout the week. Closed when parish offices are closed. Martha’s Ministry volunteers clean the kitchen and social hall. Join others on Thursday mornings in Classroom 3, JPII Building from 10:00-12:00 for fellowship, and to knit or crochet prayer shawls that are given to Transitions Hospice of Wake County, our homebound ministry, and others in need. NO experience needed. Groups members are happy to instruct. Donations of yarn are always welcome and may be brought to the parish office during regular business hours, or to the Knots of Love meetings on Thursday mornings. Join us to make blankets for the homeless, children with cancer, farm worker parishioners, and others in need. Sewing experience helpful, but not required. There is plenty to do! We meet each Wednesday morning in the Social Hall from 9:30-12:00. Donations of embroidery thread, batting and fabric happily accepted. Meals on Wheels of Wake County provides a nutritious noontime meal Monday through Friday to county residents who are sixty years old and older and are homebound and vulnerable. Volunteers are need to drive one of three routes in the Holly Springs, Willow Spring and Fuquay Varina areaon either a regular or as-needed basis.
