Return – Volver

We would like to return our faith, to the beginnings of innocence, of fervor, of dedication. How many are attracted to the memory of preparing for their First Communion, for a Christmas, for a special feast? Those moments were filled with the conviction that God saw us, listened to us, and rejoiced in our celebrations and preparations.

To return is the promise that God instilled in his people in the middle of exile, of abandonment, of dispersion.
With great enthusiasm the prophet invites all of Jerusalem to rise up to see the return of her children from all corners of the earth.



To return is to see that every year John the Baptist reminds us of the need to return to God with repentance, with the mercy of God that paves the way and makes it possible for everyone to keep the desire for a great encounter to praise God and contemplate his glory.

Let us also pray for all those who are far away who do not hear the voice of John the Baptist and do not live this time of preparation to Return to God.
May we all return to God to celebrate because He has been reborn in our hearts, in our lives, in our family.

Como nos
gustaría Volver nuestra fe a los comienzos de inocencia, de fervor, de
dedicación. ¿A
cuántos
les atrae el recuerdo cuando se prepararen para su
Primera Comunión, a una Navidad, a una fiesta especial? Esos momentos
tenían
la
convicción
que Dios nos
veía, nos escuchaba
y se
alegraba
de nuestras celebraciones
y preparaciones.

Volver fue la promesa que Dios
infundió
a su pueblo en medio del exilio, del abandono, de la
dispersión, y con gran entusiasmo el profeta
invita a toda Jerusalén
a que se levante para ver el regreso de sus hijos
de
todos los rincones
de la tierra.

Que todos podamos Volver a Dios para celebrar porque ha renacido en nuestro
corazón, en nuestra vida, nuestra familia. Pidamos
también
por todos los que están alejados y
no escuchan
la voz de Juan el Bautista
y no viven este tiempo de preparación para Volver a Dios.

Heavenly Father, how good and generous You are 

for pouring out so many blessings on your people

through the priesthood of Father Fernando.

We ask you to continue to bless Father Fernando

as he ministers to us each day in the Sacraments

and by his imitation of Christ’s friendship.

Make us more and more grateful for the precious gift

of Your faithful priest, whose open heart and

open hands bring us the gift of Jesus Your Son.

May his mind continue to be illuminated in his writings,

serving as an instrument of the Holy Spirit.

And when each day is done may he be wrapped in the

love and comfort of Christ’s peace.

Padre Celestial, cuán bueno y generoso eres

por derramar tantas bendiciones sobre tu pueblo

a través del sacerdocio del Padre Fernando.

Te pedimos que sigas bendiciendo al Padre Fernando

mientras nos ministra cada día en los Sacramentos

y por su imitación de la amistad de Cristo.

Haznos cada vez más agradecidos por el precioso regalo

de Tu fiel sacerdote, cuyo corazón abierto y

manos abiertas tráenos el don de Jesús Tu Hijo.

Permite que su mente siga iluminada en sus escritos,

sirviendo como instrumento del Espíritu Santo.

Y cuando termine cada día, que él sea envuelto en el

amor y consuelo de la paz de Cristo.

“Life is Light” Memorial Service

Join together as the Church celebrates the central Christian belief in a glorious life after death. On this special day, we honor our beloved deceased by praying for them during their time of purification.

A Memorial service will be held in the church at 6:00pm with a special recognition of the faithful departed from our parish over this past year.

Solemnity of All Saints is a holy day of obligation.

The Church celebrates holy men and women throughout the year but the Solemnity of All Saints is when the Church honors every saint: those officially known and honored on the Church calendar, and saints known only to God.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Let us bow down in humility at the power and grandeur of the Holy Spirit. Let us worship the Holy Trinity and give glory today to the Paraclete, our Advocate.

O Holy Spirit, by Your power, Christ was raised from the dead to save us all. By Your grace, miracles are performed in Jesus’ name. By Your love, we are protected from evil. And so, we ask with humility and a beggar’s heart for Your gift of Charity within us.

Pray the intention each day (Day 1-9) for the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and enkindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created. And You shall renew the face of the earth.

O, God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy His consolations, through Christ Our Lord, Amen.

Day 1, September 11 – Charity

The great charity of all the host of Saints is only made possible by your power, O Divine Spirit. Increase in us, the virtue of charity that we may love as God loves with the selflessness of the Saints.

Holy Spirit we ask for the grace of love to serve others. Amen.

Day 2, September 12 – Joy

All of the Saints are marked with an uncompromisable Joy in times of trial, difficulty and pain. Give us, O Holy Spirit, the Joy that surpasses all understanding that we may live as a witness to Your love and fidelity!

Holy Spirit we ask for the grace of joy to be witnesses of your presence. Amen.

Day 3, September 13 – Peace

The Saints were tempted, attacked, and accused by the devil who is the destroyer of peace. When we are accused by the devil, come to our aid as our Advocate and give us Peace that lasts through all trials!

Holy Spirit we ask for the grace of peace to do your will. Amen.

Day 4, September 14 – Patience

O Holy Spirit, you give lavishly to those who ask. Please give us the patience of the Saints who are now with you in heaven. Help us to endure everything with an eternal patience that is only possible with your help.

Holy Spirit we ask for the grace of patience to wait attentively for others. Amen.

Day 5, September 15 – Kindness

Jesus approached sinners with immense kindness. Holy Paraclete, please treat us humble sinners with the same kindness and give us the ability to treat all others with that kindness as well.

Holy Spirit we ask for the grace of kindness in all our actions. Amen.

Day 6, September 16 – Faithfulness

You, O Lord, are ever faithful. You are faithful until the end. Though we are weak and distracted, please give us the grace to be faithful to You as you are to us!

Holy Spirit we ask for the grace faithfulness to always trust in you. Amen.

Day 7, September 17 – Gentleness

Despite the gravity of our sins, O Lord you treat us with Gentleness. Dear Holy Spirit, give us your power to treat all in our lives with the Gentleness of the Saints.

Holy Spirit we ask for the grace of gentleness towards all we encounter. Amen.

Day 8, September 18 – Self-Control

Your Martyrs had the overwhelming self-control to go joyfully to a painful death without shrinking from the opportunity to join You in heaven. Give us this self-control to have command over our emotions and desires that we may serve You more fully.

Holy Spirit we ask for the grace of self-control to put you first in all we do. Amen.

Day 9, September 19 – Goodness

We want to be like your Saints in heaven. Holy Spirit, renew us by your power with your Goodness that we may bring the Good News to the world.

Holy Spirit we ask for the grace of your power to bear witness of your love. Amen.

Por favor, únase como la comunidad parroquial con la novena al Espíritu Santo por aquellos que recibirán el Sacramento de la Confirmación el 19 de septiembre.

• En el nombre del Padre, y del Hijo, y del Espíritu Santo. Amén.

Inclinémonos con humildad ante el poder y la grandeza del Espíritu Santo. Adoremos a la Santísima Trinidad y demos gloria hoy al Paráclito, nuestro Abogado.

O Espíritu Santo, por tu poder, Cristo resucitó de entre los muertos para salvarnos a todos. Por tu gracia, los milagros se realizan en el nombre de Jesús. Por tu amor, estamos protegidos del mal. Y así, pedimos con humildad y con un corazón de mendigo tu don de Caridad dentro de nosotros.

Orar la intención de cada día (Día 1-9) por los dones del Espíritu Santo a continuación.

Ven Espíritu Santo, llena los corazones de tus fieles y enciende en ellos el fuego de tu amor. Envía tu Espíritu y ellos serán creados. Y renovarás la faz de la tierra.

Oh, Dios, que por la luz del Espíritu Santo, instruyó los corazones de los fieles, concédenos que por el mismo Espíritu Santo seamos verdaderamente sabios y disfrutemos siempre de Sus consuelos, por medio de Cristo Nuestro Señor, Amén. Día 1, 11 de septiembre  –  Caridad

La gran caridad de la asamblea de todos los santos sólo es posible por tu poder, o Espíritu Divino. Aumenta en mí, la virtud de la caridad para que pueda amar como Dios ama con el desinterés de los santos.

Espíritu Santo te pedimos la gracia del amor para servir a los demás. Amén.

Día 2, 12 de septiembre  –  Alegría

Todos los santos están marcados con una alegría intransigente en tiempos de prueba, dificultad y dolor. ¡Danos, o Espíritu Santo, la Alegría que sobrepasa todo entendimiento para que podamos vivir como testigos de Tu amor y fidelidad!

Espíritu Santo te pedimos la gracia de la alegría para ser testigos de tu presencia. Amén.

Día 3, 13 de septiembre  –  Paz

Los santos fueron tentados, atacados y acusados por el diablo que es el destructor de la paz. Cuando seamos acusados por el diablo, ¡ven en nuestra ayuda como nuestro Abogado y danos paz que dure a través de todas las pruebas!

Espíritu Santo te pedimos la gracia de la paz para hacer tu voluntad. Amén.

Día 4, 14 de septiembre  –  Paciencia

O Espíritu Santo, das generosamente a los que piden. Por favor, danos la paciencia de los santos que ahora están contigo en el cielo. Ayúdanos a soportar todo con una paciencia eterna que solo es posible con tu ayuda.

Espíritu Santo te pedimos la gracia de la paciencia para esperar atentamente a los demás. Amén.

Día 5, 15 de septiembre  –  Amabilidad

Jesús se acercó a los pecadores con inmensa bondad. Espíritu Santo, por favor trátanos humildes pecadores con la misma bondad y danos la capacidad también de tratar a todos los demás con esa bondad.

Espíritu Santo te pedimos la gracia de tu bondad en todas nuestras acciones. Amén.

Día 6, 16 de septiembre  –  Fidelidad

Tú, o Señor, eres siempre fiel. Eres fiel hasta el final. Aunque somos débiles y distraídos, ¡por favor danos la gracia de ser fieles a Ti como tú eres a nosotros!

Espíritu Santo te pedimos la gracia de la fidelidad para confiar siempre en ti. Amén.

Día 7, 17 de septiembre  –  Gentileza

A pesar de la gravedad de nuestros pecados, o Señor, nos tratas con gentileza. Querido Espíritu Santo, danos tu poder para tratar a todos en nuestra vida con la gentileza de los santos.

Espíritu Santo te pedimos la gracia de la mansedumbre con todos los que nos encontramos. Amén.

Día 8, 18 de septiembre –  Autocontrol

Tus Mártires tuvieron el abrumador autocontrol para ir alegremente a una muerte dolorosa sin encogerse de la oportunidad de unirse a Ustedes en el cielo. Danos este autocontrol para tener dominio sobre nuestras emociones y deseos para que podamos servirte más plenamente.

Espíritu Santo te pedimos la gracia del autocontrol para ponerte primero en todo lo que hacemos. Amén.

Día 9, 19 de septiembre  –  Bondad

Queremos ser como tus santos en el cielo. Espíritu Santo, renuévanos con tu poder con tu Bondad para que podamos traer la Buena Nueva al mundo.

Espíritu Santo te pedimos la gracia de tu poder para dar testimonio de tu amor. Amén.
